Personal trainer in Copenhagen

I’m Alex Beck – personal trainer, outdoor group fitness coach and founder of Alex Beck in Copenhagen.

I help women and men over 40 build strength, improve energy and create sustainable fitness habits through structured, evidence-based training that fits real life. My coaching combines personal training, outdoor strength training and BodyCombat classes in Copenhagen, with a strong focus on progression, longevity and community.

As a British expat living in Denmark, I’ve spent years creating training spaces where people feel supported, challenged and genuinely welcome – whether they walk into my private studio for 1:1 coaching or join one of my outdoor strength sessions in the middle of a Danish winter.

My approach is built around intelligent programming, consistency and realistic coaching for busy adults navigating work, family life, stress, recovery and the changes that come with midlife.

No extremes.
No punishment workouts.
No random workouts pulled from apps.

Just structured strength training and coaching designed to help you feel stronger physically and mentally for the long term.

Midlife fitness, menopause & sustainable training

Have I always had a healthy relationship with fitness? Absolutely not.

Like many people, I grew up during the era of trendy diets, shrinking yourself and constantly feeling like your body needed fixing. For years, fitness felt connected to appearance, pressure and control rather than health.

What changed was my mindset.

I stopped treating exercise as punishment and started seeing movement as something that could support my energy, confidence, resilience and quality of life. Strength training became about capability rather than simply aesthetics.

That shift completely changed the way I coach today.

I understand how overwhelming the fitness industry can feel - especially in your 40s and 50s when hormones, recovery, stress, sleep and lifestyle all play a role.

My goal is to help clients cut through the noise and focus on what actually works: strength training, movement, consistency, recovery and realistic habits that can be maintained long term.

I specialise in midlife fitness, including menopause, perimenopause, pregnancy and postpartum training, helping clients adapt their training safely and effectively through different stages of life.

My philosophy is to make movement, and more specifically strength and cardio training, an integral part of a busy lifestyle.

My philosophy is simple:
